Environmental Impact

When developing a wind farm, many environmental factors are taken into account. To assess what potential impact the proposed wind farm could have on the site and its surrounding area, experts have undertaken studies in the fields of ecology, visual impacts on the landscape, noise, aviation etc.

The environmental assessment also considers what measures are required to avoid or reduce any adverse environmental impacts. The findings will be reported to Barrow Borough Council and South Lakeland Council in our Environmental Statement, which will accompany the planning application for Furness Wind Farm. The ES will be made available in public venues and online.
